Take Action

Tell Congress to make highway and public transportation investment a key part of the jobs agenda!

There are few federal efforts that rival the potential of critical transportation infrastructure investments for creating jobs, stimulating economic growth and making the U.S. more competitive over the long-term. For far too long, Congress has stalled in advancing long-term legislation to guide and fund federal investments in the nation's highways and public transportation systems. With yet another legislative extension expiring for these programs at the end of March, 2012, Congress must begin moving a well funded multi-year reauthorization of the federal highway and public transportation programs to ensure the health, safety and capacity of the nation's infrastructure.
