U.S. Chamber Praises Senate Passage of Water Resources Development Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs Bruce Josten issued the following statement today praising Senate passage of the “Water Resources Development Act of 2016” (WRDA):

“We applaud the Senate for acting swiftly to pass the ‘Water Resources Development Act of 2016,’ which we know to be an important step toward providing critical economic benefits to the nation. This bill is a reflection of Congress living up to a commitment it made in 2014, and now, it’s time to build upon it. We encourage the House to move forward with a bill of its own, working out any differences, in order to advance and complete this legislation this year.”
