Latest Ed Talks: Podcast About America’s Transportation Funding Gap

The Americans for Transportation Mobility (ATM) Coalition is a broad-based group of business, labor and key transportation stakeholders who understand why it is no longer acceptable for America’s infrastructure to decline. ATM advocates new policies and solutions that will provide sustainable funding and network modernization.

When compared to some other countries, and based on a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) percentage basis, the United States invests far less in infrastructure and its decades-old highway system is no longer a model of the best America can be.

Our roads, bridges, airports, locks and dams, public transit systems, and ports all need new revenue and cost-effective upgrades. This means our multimodal transportation network should be faster, better and safer to meet 21st-century needs.

Ed Mortimer, executive director of the ATM Coalition and vice president of transportation infrastructure for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, joins us in this podcast to speak about what he hopes will happen next on the infrastructure funding and legislative fronts.
