Americans Deserve Better

Margaret Thatcher, the former steely prime minister of the United Kingdom who helped change how the world sees women leaders, once said, “You and I come by road or rail, but economists travel on infrastructure.”

Globally, Thatcher’s words still ring true today. But they also hold a timely message for the United States. The American economy is doing well but its physical foundation is struggling and will continue to do so if we don’t modernize U.S. infrastructure.

Inadequate funding for public transit. Old bridges. Roads in need of repairs. Traffic congestion. Airports and ports that need to be upgraded. Expanded technology. Investment from the private sector. These are all things our country needs to focus on through new legislation.

Next year, the Highway Trust Fund will be insolvent if the President and Congress do not act. We can’t afford for America to allow our transportation network to continue to decline. Speak up. Watch our video and please take ONE minute and sign our petition. Help us let our leaders know that infrastructure should be an American priority NOW.
